New Technology And Advanced Communication Options Essay

The advents of new technology and advanced communication options have changed the way in which meeting planners construct business meetings over the past several years. There are many positive impacts brought about by technology; however, we cannot ignore the adverse impact that accompanies the use of technology in meeting planning. The use of Internet and social media has helped meeting planners to shift some work to attendees, which can make attendees feel more engaged. For instance, registrants at South by Southwest’s event are able to choose panelists by using social space. Another way business meeting planner help the attendees to engage is by placing prizes at specific locations and post pictures on social media platform. When attendees find the prizes, they will feel good, but also, it is an important technique for meeting planners to use when they need more traffic at certain locations (O’Brien, 2014). Social media has also made the marketing process easier and cheaper for meeting planners. It creates buzz and develops interest before the meeting without having business owners paying a lot to market (â€Å"How has today’s technology changed†¦Ã¢â‚¬ , 2016). Also, meeting planners do not have to worry that attendees cannot find the products they are interested in and having difficulties find certain spots when they put data personalization into use. The Mexican Cartel Is A Ruthless Crime Origination

The Mexican cartel is a ruthless crime origination. It controls Mexico through bribes and fear. There are many factions of the cartel, and they are at constant war with one another. They war over many reasons from drugs to human trafficking. These battles often spill out into the streets causing the loose of many innocent lives. The cartel has a strangle hold on the Mexican people. The cartels operate much like other organized crime groups. Like the Mafia there are many factions. Each faction has its own hierarchy. Think of it as like in the business world there is upper management, middle management, lower management, then there is the workers. The different factions each wants to dominate their trade and beat out their†¦show more content†¦They are also into many other much darker activities (Kryt, 2016). Some of their ventures are things like kidnappings. They will abduct a rich tourist or someone who holds influence with the government. Once they have that pe rson they will make demands. They will ask for money or even the release of one of their members from prison. Extortion is another means of income to the cartels. They will either have information on an official, and make them pay to keep it private or make a business owner pay them for protection. The cartels are also into illegal mining and petroleum theft as sources of income. They do not care what it is; if there is profit to be made they are on it (Kryt, 2016). Possibly the darkest thing the cartel is into is organ trafficking. There is an urban legend of a man waking up in a bath tub full of ice, being freshly stitched up after having a kidney removed. Unfortunately most of the time when organs are abducted the victim does not wake up. Even if they do wake up they often die before help can arrive. They die either through infection or improper medical procedures (Kryt, 2016). Bribes Mexico is a very poor country with most of its people living in extreme poverty. Its police force is also paid a very poor wedge. They can make in one day as much as they make in a few months or more just to look the other way. Not to mention it is a much healthier choice for them to make; if they chose not to take

Obsession

Question: Describe about the term for "Obsession" ? Answer: Fade in: Interior house: It is a starry night with a chilly weather. George is relaxing on his couch near the fence with a cigar on his hand. George is a handsome young man in his mid-twenties. He is a loner and prefers to stay inside his one-room flat. Numerous thoughts are accumulated in his mind right now. He gazes at the fence continuously engrossed in thoughts. How could I commit such a heinous crime? He perspired even in the month of January. He could not move his eyes from the body, which is lying on the floor in a pool of blood. Interior House: Stands up: He stands up and touches the lifeless hand of the dead body. It was as white as death. George (Voice Over) I did not intend to kill her. Was I out of my senses? No. I was right. She was a filthy woman, as filthy as dirt. He inscribed three little words on the lifeless hand with his cigar. I love you, he said. Facing the audience, he continues Love is such a wonderful thing. It can make us do anything. All is fair in love and war. Stupid woman, she thought I loved her. Oh yes! I loved her. Once! I loved her once! When she looked into my eyes and begged for mercy, I obliged. She asked me to leave her. I left her dead. It was a cold-blooded murder, as cold as death itself. Alas! She is no more. She has submitted herself to death. I wish she could understand me. But she did not. All women are same. They commit the same mistakes of misunderstanding peoples feelings, failing to reciprocate love. As he spoke his words, tears rolled down his cheeks. He seated himself on the chair and took out one old photograph. The photograph contained a couple, with their child. He touched the face of the woman in photograph. I have your eyes, mother. I terribly miss you. I wish you had not ended the same way as your daughter-in-law. It was your fault. You misunderstood me. George Goes Down The Memory Lane George was three years old when his father left his mother. His mother brought him all by herself. From the very childhood, he was very keen in studies, soft-spoken, never interacted with anyone, always stayed inside his one room flat. He loved his mother dearly. Once his neighbor had insulted his mother in a harsh manner. He threw a large brick at the woman and fled with the pace of an arrow. He was taken to a home by the local court. He was diagnosed with mental illness. He tried to run away from the home, thrice and thrice he failed. The fourth time, he succeeded in fleeing from the home. The home was on fire. He had set the fire. He managed to escape and get to his house. As soon as he knocked at the door, his mother was angry and asked him to surrender to the police force. This could reduce his punishment to some extent. George was unmoved. That night, neither of them spoke to each other. Next morning, the door was found open and inside the house, a body was found open with a slit throat. Comes Back To The Grim Reality George wipes his tears and consoles himself. It is ok, George. It is completely fine. What you did is correct. They deserved to be killed. George Once Again Goes To The Flashback George loved this woman. They had first met at the Broadway theatre. Speaking To Himself There she stands in a yellow dress. She is looking pretty, prettiest of all. I stand gazing at her beautiful face. She is uttering something. Her lips are moving. She comes to him and asks for the last ticket that he owned. The theatre ran the play of Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare. She was a fan of Shakespeare, she said. She did not miss a single show in her lifetime. But this time, luck was not in her favor. She was too late for the last ticket. Hearing her sad story, George sacrificed his desires for a wonderful, young woman. Present Moment He takes the bloodstained knife in his hand and cleans it with a cloth. He smells the cloth and finds relief in it. He continues Come back, dear. Please come back and say those nice words to me. I want to relive those moments spent with you. Our first date, movies, luncheons, sleepovers, I miss everything. He takes out a ring from his waist pocket and says, See, I had bought this for you, darling. I wanted to take you on a date, movie, and lunch. Alas! If only you were alive. I wanted to confess my love for you. Goes Back To Flashback It was a bright sunny morning. George was sitting in a park, looking dreamily at the birds, contemplating. A voice draws his attention. It was the same girl, whom he had met at the theatre and fell in love with at the very first sight. The woman thanked him. He reciprocated. They became friends, good friends rather. They met every now and then. George was madly in love with her. He wanted to propose to her and ask her hand in marriage. One fine day, he dressed himself up in a nice suit, bought red roses and waited at the park for his ladylove. She did not come. Hours passed by. He was disgusted. He threw the flowers in the backyard. It was nighttime. She finally came but only to break his heart into bits and pieces. She said him about her Afro-American boyfriend whom she loved dearly. She wanted to be engaged with him. But her family was against it. She seeked help from George. He agreed and asked her to meet him the next evening at his place. Present Scenario Interior House Life is so unfair. You were the closest one I had to a family, dear. But you never understood my feelings. Instead of lying in a pool of blood, you would have been in my arms now, sweetheart. I did not want to kill you. I promise. I just wanted to hurt you just the way you had hurt my feelings. You broke my heart into a thousand pieces. But I still love you with all the broken pieces. I want to eternalize our love. I want to join you. No force in the world can separate us from each other. This night shall see the last of me, the last of true love. For one last time, shall I see the blue sky, the uncountable stars and the beauty of this wonderful night? You jump, I jump, remember? He Stands Up He takes the knife in his hands and holds it like a glass of wine and says, To the dearest and best women on Earth, I owe you my life as well as death. I love you both and in a short while, we are going to be united in death. Saying this, he slits his right hand, the hand that had the charges of two gruesome murders. He falls down. He attempts to touch the pale hand of the lifeless body and says, Nothing is going to change my love for you. You ought to know by now how much I love you. One thing you can be sure of that I have never asked for more than your love. He took his last breath.

Mentors Essay Example For Students

Mentors Essay Anyone who can change the way you feel about certain issues for the better is a mentor. I know in my heart what is right and what is wrong, but sometimes I get off track . When I do leave the pack, hopefully, a teacher, parent, or a close friend will help me back on track. A mentor will have the same perspective on life, in general, as you do. Generally, a mentor is some one you really enjoy listening and talking to. In 9th and 10th grade I was not exactly a good kid I did drugs, I stole, and many other ungodly things. I guess I was trying to fit in with the cool crowd. Although I was smart, my teachers could see me deteriorating day after day. Coming into school high, skipping class to smoke a cigarette, these are some of the things that the teachers noticed. My true friends, family, and the school tried to help. I do not know why I did not listen to them or why it took me so long to listen to them. In 11th grade I had a teacher that had this profound effect on my life and me. He was the U.S. history and C.W.I (contemporary world issues) teacher. This mans name is Francis Gymaih, an ordained minister from Guana, Africa. The easiest way to describe him is he is looks and acts exactly like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Just like Dr. King he would preach every thing he said. He would never stop pacing around the room while he teach the class. He often would raise his hands in the air and talk in a praise to God kind of voice. This made his class enjoyable to be in. He made it so the students wanted to listen and learn. In addition to his uplifting speeches he is also the assistant soccer coach for the high school. I played soccer so this gave me a chance to see him out of school. Mr. Gymaih is a young man, about 26 years old, so he can still relate to the students on a different level than most teachers. Towards the middle of my 10th grade year he would take me out on his own time to do things after school. We would play basketball or soccer and some times we would just sit in his classroom and talk. We would talk about every thing and the things he said just made sense. One thing he said to me that I still hold true with me today is If I give my virginity to a girl she better give some thing back in return and thats my last name in marriage. I am still a virgin today because of this. He would also talk about drugs and the point of them. The point is there is none. When you sit down and think about it there is no really good reason to take any illegal drugs. I quit doing all drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, and every thing else I did, for a year and a half. I do drink now but I do not abuse it like I used to, but every thing else is still off limits. The man I call my mentor has forever changed my life. I went to visit him last Wednesday just to see how he was doing. He was trying to coach the team as I creeped behind him to give the man a hug; it was one of the biggest hugs I had ever given. I owe him a lot more hugs than that. If it were not for him who knows were I would be right now. He put me back on track. Bibliography: .
